We found an abandoned 6’x10’x6’ tall house boat in the swamp. Room to sleep 4 with the dual side by side plywood bunk beds suspend from the ceiling by ropes. Used knots to set height of each bed… had a hook on the bottom bed to latch to ceiling during the day. Not sure you could suspend a bed from your ceiling but you could suspend a table and lower it to some blocks on the walls mid way up. Hinges may work but could get in the way. Go to the ceiling. I love this, man.
